Ivory Champagne

The Ivory Champagne looks a lot like a Cremello or a Perlino. When the Ivory Champagne horse is born, the foal will have bright pink skin and bright blue eyes. The skin basically remains pink throughout its life, developing freckled on the muzzle, around the eyes, and its "private parts" as it matures. The foal's blue eyes may turn green, but often remains blue. The mane and tail of an Ivory Champagne may be nearly pure white, yellowish, orange-ish, or possibly even tan, along with the (lighter) lower legs, depending on the base color.

It appears that some Cremellos and Perlinos, which are not Champagnes but rather cream-gene colors, develop something like freckles on their muzzles, etc. as they age. It appears that these are "softer" than the freckles on a Champagne: lighter in color, less well defined, etc. This, again, emphasizes the importance of seeing the parents to determine a horse's true "genetic" color.
